Il. Concealed carry

Just completed my application for concealed carry in IL. which was the last state to issue! I can't carry nude but any suggestion's on guns and holsters? Is a XD 45 Springfield Arms or a Kimber 1911 to big? Or my Tarus 357 okI hear size matters!!!

I sometimes carry my Kimber 1911 in a shoulder rig. Normally my cc of choice is my Taurus 740B slim or a Taurus 605 PLY .357 Mag. My wife has a Walther p22 for her cc weapon of choice. What a fine weapon, would't mind having one myself.
