screening - flowering vines

does anyone use climbing vines for screening on their fences, years ago didn't have much $$ -still don't but i wanted a fence to keep out stray animals so i erected a three foot fence around the backyard well after awhile and scouting the discount nurseries i found some creeping vines that have flower most are jasmine i think but the flowers bloom in yellow ,pink and blue and are beautiful in spring and summer. well as time went on the went wild so i put up horizonal metal post - cheap 10 foot electrical pipe at about every 6 feet or so than with rolls of metal wire doubled over and spun with a drill made vertical wires for the vines to catch on . needless to say i have a 8 foot screening not totally privacy but close.

Yes, we use Virginia Creeper as a good solid fence cover (at least when the deer don't munch it). Also like the Morning Glory and Clematis, though not as much for privacy as to add color.
