Why did I just get a friend request from "shygirl811"? Why would a 23-year-old "shy girl" in Alabama be contacting a 53-year-old fat man in Texas? There is so much phoniness on this site but, hey, am I the only one noticing it? Also, looking at the majority of the topics in the Men's Room Forum makes me think that there are actually very few "true nudists" on this site.
No, you're not the only one noticing it. Certification is one way to address the problem; the proportion of young women with certified profiles is sharply lower than the proportions of older women, or of younger or older men - a good indication that a lot of those profiles are fake. Since the profile you cite has "friends-only" photos, there's no way to check to see if the photos are stolen without friending the person, but that often proves to be the case with this type of profile. Hey, it's the Internet... there are certainly lots of true nudists on the site with whom you can build community. You can also make a minor hobby of calling out fakes - flag stolen or inappropriate photos, inappropriate comments, etc. - if you like.

I receive my share of friends requests from people who have nothing in common with me other than we're on the same website. When I check their friends list and find hundreds of "Friends", I figure it would be rather meaningless to add my name to their list so I deny their request.
I just want to get more info from individuals living the lifestyle. Viewpoints etc. I am interested in the lifestyle so I am here to learn. I guess I will need to post my pic and info so I can be a verified user as to not get confused with the weirdos. I do feel that there are people here for other agendas which makes it difficult to except their requests.
If someone isn't local, then hopefully we belong to one of the same groups on TN, at least we have something in common. I will send an email to someone if I am looking at pics and I think the pic is nice or interesting, but that doesn't always go with a friend request.

There was a profile on this page called tryus, they collected quite a few friends and supposedly moved to my home town.
I made contact with the person behind the profile whilst I was overseas, and msged them I would be back in Town this week and got a reply "great".
Now I cannot see any trace of them.
Anybody know what happened to that ID

maybe so .....but it goes a long way to help people trust you
IF you know how easy it is to fake, WHY would it go a long way to help people trust you?????
