What do you say?
While standing in front of a restaurant with some tn friends, a woman walks up to me an asked me if I was wearing any underwear. I told her no. She then said great and give me five while holding her hand up high. I gave her a high five. Then my tn friends asked her to lift the kilt to check. She grabbed the kilt and started to lift it up but only a little and said told them no and walked off.
I am sure all kilt wearers get asked, "what do you have under that kilt." What do you say? Have any of you asked them to feel under to check? Have any of you just lifted up the kilt and showed them?
Yes I often get asked that question and I usually reply-- nothing is worn, everything is in perfect working order.
Generally speaking, when asked what I'm wearing under my kilt I'll tell them I am traditional and let them deal with that information. I have heard of some good comebacks though. My favorite one is when a guy asks you respond with "your wife's/girl freind's lip stick."
If they ask what's under my kilt I say "socks and shoes". If they ask if I'm wearing anything under it I just smile.
Once at a party a lady pointed her phone up my kilt for a photo. I just lifted it a little to improve the exposure. Then I gave them a twirl. Later I took it off.
My friend and I wore our mini-kilts when exploring Rhodes town in Greece. They were very popular with the traders and caf owners, especially the ladies. When asked we simply told them we had nothing under our kilts in proper Scottish tradition. And that applied even though they were unusually short. A girl asked us when selling tickets to climb the clock tower. She said she'd check] We said OK. Then we heard a joyous cry of 'It's true!' as we climbed the steep stairs.
