My first time happened not that long ago. In fact, it was on August 31 this year.
Until this past summer, I hadn't visited my native Europe for 16 years. Well, this year I finally decided to make up for it, and went on a megatrip to Russia, Ukraine and Latvia. Had a great time, met a lot of online friends, as well as old college ones... but I digress.
Well, when I came to Latvia, I decided to visit a nude beach in Vecaki. More than anything, I was just curious, since I'd never been to a nude beach before.
I did talk my brother (who went on a trip with me) into going to the beach, and we did find it quite easily. There were indeed nudists. And I quickly noticed that I was feeling... indecent. I was feeling indecent, because I was clothed! Just like I'd feel indecent being nude on a textile beach (or on a city street, for that matter). On a nude beach, though, it was the other way around -- nudity seemed to be the only decent state to be in. When in Rome...
Well, I wanted to be decent. And then, to the utter shock of my brother, I quickly shed both my clothes and my inhibitions. It was suprisingly easy! And then I realized that all the stuff I had read about nudism was actually true. I felt liberated, peaceful and not lewd at all.
That's how my new wonderful hobby was started. Once you go nude, you'll never go prude. :-)
I thought I had posted to this but didn't find anything from me. Here's my first time:
I was vacationing at Club Med/Martinique, a resort in the Caribbean. The first two days were spent on the beach sitting in a soggy swimsuit and being chafed by sand. I signed up for a day boat trip and picnic at a beach on an island away from the resort. As we were leaving, I discovered that the excursion was to an island with a nude beach! I decided to go anyway, thinking no way was anybody getting me out of my suit. I stood firm, and in fact, was the last person to give in and shed my swimsuit - I was the last one to get dressed to return to the resort. Why hadn't someone told me about this sooner? I was hooked, and that was over 40 years ago. The phrase, "nude when possible, clothed when practical," definitely describes me. I do wear at least shoes when vacuuming the house though as I have a habit of running over my toes with the vacuum cleaner.
I wrote of my initial experience in one of the groups here, but here it is again.
I had moved to Japan for business purposes, and frankly speaking, I was somewhat uptight at the time. I was at a factory with two Japanese business associates, and we missed the last train back to Tokyo. They suggested that we go to spend the night at a Japanese Onsen, which is a hot springs resort. So off we went driving around Northern Japan, looking for one, where I could have a private room with a Western style bathroom. After a great deal of fruitless searching, we finally came to one that had what I requested.
We went to our separate rooms, removed our clothing and put on a yukata, which is a thin kimona like garment. Then off we went to the men's changing room, where we removed our yukata, and were given a tenughi, which is a thick wash cloth, about six inches square, and this is the be used for washing, drying and modesty purposes.
We then went to the bath, with me leading the way, my tenughi over my shoulder. I walked in, and I immediately bumped into someone, who I immediately noticed was a Japanese female, who was attired the same way as myself. Naturally, being uptight, I was shocked, and turned around to see my Japanese associates laughing. After some moments thinking about the situation, I decided, why not. The bathing area was filled with about 40 Japanese men, women and children, and in a way, they were more shocked at this foreign intruder than I was. By the way, these mixed bathing onsen are called "konyoku buro" in Japanese.
To make a long story short, I thoroughly enjoyed this experienced, and this started me out as a nudist. I lost my only bathing suit over 20 years ago, and I decided to never replace it...
My first time with other nudists was a couple of years ago at Phoenix nudist club in Perth (Australia) being a single male, I wa a little worried about being accepted, but every one was really nice & welcoming & it was a really enjpyable experience! It was great to finally be with other nudists in a safe, & friendly social setting!!
I recommend it to any one!
To me it seems that fella can get their kit off virtually anytime, only thing some sadly worry about is their "pivotal brain size" and what a laugh it may be to others, but hopefully not in a naturist environment!
Now a lady is different.. a lady worries about many aspects or facets of her body and how it changes and looks to all others, they dont want to be deemed as a threat to any relationship, dont want their saggy bits to be seen.
Chivalry, courtesy and respect towards women in particular to me at times seems to be a dying art, and sadly there are not enough people proud to have their body, irrespective of size etc etc.
Naturism or nudism to quote someone who may now have passed on........ "naturism is an activity where the swimming costume serves no purpose".
My lovely wife was so scared on her first time, then after a little while thought "what the hell", again sadly club attitudes regarding sex put her off many aspects of club life and we stayed away thereafter.

Well lets see, my first time experiencing social nudity was in central California. In my home state there is no nude or clothing optional resorts.I never new places like this existed. It was a small hot spring called Mercy Hot Springs. Now its not much but it has a pool right in the front but you have to wear a bathing suit there. The clothing optional part was further back from the buildings. It had an area about 30 ft by 30 ft. surrounded by a 6 foot fence. Now behind the fence Mercy Hot Springs has 6 or 7 bathtubs that you can soak and relax under the stars. If you ever want to go thereMercy has a few places to set up a tent and a few small cabins you can rent. Now whenI wentI was very nervous, I took a shower and got in the bathtub right away. It wasnt until a few more times that i became really relaxed and comfortable being nude in front of others. I guess thats when I got hooked with nudism. My favorite place that I have been to so far is Harbin Hot Springs..............but thats another story.
I haveoftenpracticed home nudism, and always slept nude, but my first public nude experience was at Blacks Beach in California. I still remember it as the most euphoric experience of my life. The exhilaration and feeling of freedom that I felt was indescribable. This is a feeling that a person has to experience for themselves. Itis be impossible to describe this feeling to someone else and have them truly understand it. That is probably one of the main reasons that I promote and encourge nudism; the feeling that one experiences in being in a nudist setting. Naked Hugs everyone.

My first time naked I just jumped right in and after only 3 weeks of walking around the house by myself. Iwent witha fellow nudist to a nudist resort and enjoyed it. Because of him I am a nudist. And then after joining this site I found another nudist close to where I live and was invited to meet them.I was worried at first because at the resort I was around alot of people, there it would be just us,but I got rid of the nerves and just did it and we talked and got to know each other and hooked up the wii and now we both can enjoy nude time together.
