Proper hello?

Reading through older posts a question came to mind? What is the proper hello gesture for a first time or for that matter an anytime meeting when naked? A handshake? Someone had posted a bit about not knowing where others hands had been and I realized that I never would have thought of that. It would be just my luck to meet someone for the first time at a resort or a beach and offend them right off the bat with the wrong hello. Bad enough to be nervous the first visit somewhere but then to make it awkward within the first 5 minutes wouldnt be very good for the comfort level. Handshake, wave, just a simple hey, whats the way to go?

That's an interesting question. I can only say that we nudists are just regular people that happen to be without their clothing. What's acceptable in the textile world is very likely to be acceptable among nudists. You can never go wrong with a friendly wave and a smile. If introductions are being made offer a friendly handshake.Regarding comfort level; consider my motto, take off your clothes, relax and enjoy life
With this attitude, friendships are likely to develop.

LOL..someone was concerned about not knowing where hands had been? Why would a nudists hands be ANY different from a textiler's hands? If you would shake hands with someone you just met in a textile venue, then by all means shake hands with the nudists! Whatever you would normally do IS the "proper" hello.

the hands don't get any cleaner with the pants / dresses on, i agree with cuddlebutton do what you do as if you were dressed getting nude shouldn't change how you greet others.
