RE: Do you read profiles

Strangely enough, after leaving a message on another topic, I received a friends request and a message asking me if I would like to trade pictures (we don't swap pics), I tried to reply to the message, but I was told I was blocked too.
Also, a girl (???) in Hawaii was so desperate to be our friend, she sent a message saying she had sent us a request. I asked, Why?
After a few short messages back and forth I invited her into the chat room for a video chat...........sadly, she had just dropped her laptop and her now her cam has stopped working...... So We still haven't accepted the friends request.

Yes I do.

I always do. Not only to see if there are common interests, but also to see how involved they are in nudism and whether the chat is likely to be enjoyable. I am not always right but more often than not the profile can be quite telling, if nothing else, for what is between the lines.

This to me is almost a "DUH?" statement, but I 100% get that many send FR without bothering to see if info is in the info tab.
I also check before accepting a FR even if a message was attached. Much easier than having to go back later to delete. Although that can be done. (and I've barely been a member 24 hours and have learned this.)

RE: Do you read profiles

Like many others here, I only friend people that I've had some contact with and might actually be friends with if we were anywhere close to each other. Profiles are a way to help get to know someone, which is the whole point of social interaction.

Most definitely if someone cannot take the time to fill in some background information, then they are definitely not serious and questionably genuine.

I have no problem with responding to a message or chat, but if someone sends a friend request before ever contacting me otherwise of course I'm going to check their profile. Unfortunately too many people online think it's normal behavior to send a friend request to random people.

RE: Do you read profiles

On occasions when a FR comes from someone who does not have profile info, I usually send them a message suggesting they might like to update, and leave the request on hold for a time
