First visit to a resort
I took my first trip to a resort (Solair in CT) yesterday. It is early in the season in the Northeast so it was very quiet still. That was fine with me and allowed me to try things out without a large amount of experienced nudists around.The weather cleared and everyone that I did meet was helpful and willing to offer suggestions and support. By the end of the day I met a couple and, by the end of our chat, they were surprised that it was my first time so I must have been relaxed enough.Start slow and enjoy the relaxation!
Quiet day at the resort or beach is the way to go for a first time IMHO. I went to a very crowded nude beach for my first time - and to be honest the experience was a bit daunting. Finding myself in the midst of a bunch of nude people made me feel "forced" to disrobe faster than I would have liked; and then I had to wrestle with self-consciousness for a while. I got over it but it was a bit stressful.
- On a quiet day at the resort, you can just walk around by yourself, get used to your body being naked, get used to interacting nude with one or two people at a time. No pressure. A much better way to get started,
I guess you have a point. Getting "lost in a big crowd" but I was able to talk briefly with everyone there, use the entire facility, and see it all on my own terms. To each his or her own. I do think that once it is really beach weather up here I may give Gunnison a try but I feel more confident having a day of experience.
I had much the same results as you did on my first visit to a nudist resort.After a couple oh hours it felt natural and I wished that I had joined years ago.
I guess I'm born to be a nudist. My first resort was Cypress this past February and it took me all of 5 minutes to be comfortable and loving it. I was still cautious of protocol but having fun.
