References to join resort
Hi All,Wondering if anyone has encountered this situation and what advice you would offer:My wife and I have decided to join a nudist resort nearby and when I visited for a tour, I acquired an application. There was a page requesting 3 character references. The office assistant ensured me of their discretion; but, I cannot help but wonder what these 3 references may think if they receive a 'random' call. Should I tell the references in advance that they 'may' get a call asking for a character reference? What do I tellmy references its for? (I at least owe them some information so they don't feel uncomfortable or that it is something sketchy). I don't want to lie to any of our friends that I'd consider listing as a reference; yet, I don't necessarilywant to tell them it is for a nudist resort. My wife and I want to remain private about this and only share in this endeavor with any nudists friends we make going forward. We're really interested in their swimming pool, camping grounds, and various clubhouse hosted activities. The resort has many other amenities also. I've been a home nudist for all of my married life [23 years]; but, my wife has not. However, after hearing my feedback from the tour, reading the brochures, and seeing the information online, she's willing to give it a try. What a great opportunity to marry our interests with this resort's offerings. I'm just unsure how to handle this references issue. Any advice?
That is a dilemma. It's totally awesome your wife is ready to try so no way do want to risk losing that opportunity. I'd try searching for existing members who might be members here on TN. I would reach out to a really trusted friend. For example my brother would do it in a heartbeat. Talk directly to the resort management about your concern. I am sure this is not new to them. Offer to invite them to your house to get to know you as good people. Go out of your way oh go to the resort and meet folks that would then be comfortable bring a reference.
Personally, I would be happy that they are prudent in who they admit yo the membership
Being very active in non-landed nudist clubs, I often invite people to attend our functions. Many of these invitees are people who I have met on this site or other web contacts. Before giving them the details of how to find us, I often ask for their "nudist credentials". I do this when they have a blank profile or maybe just have a nude pic of themselves and no details of past nudist experiences. I believe that I have the right to verify that these people are true nudists and are not just looking for swinging, sex or some other activity not in keeping with the principals of a nudist life style. Most people are very happy to tell of their past experiences and they are welcome to join us.A few people got teed off at me and refused to tell anything about themselves except that they have a naked pic on their profile. I felt no problem in dropping these people.
