Our 20 year old blind boarder (who is still in Senior year of high school) missed the bus this morning and called my cell phone to ask for a ride. I groggily got up, grabbed a towel on the way out the door, and got in the car to get him from the bus stop. It was still dark, but I figured the dome light would come on when he got out at school, so I was sitting on half the towel, and would throw the other half over my lap when we arrived.
He is not totally blind. He uses a cane, but he can see when things are right in his face. He knows I am a nudist, and that the household is clothing optional, but probably doesn't know I drove him to school naked.
I've driven naked once, out of necessity, rather than trying to be daring, really. I had gone to see the opera at an outdoor venue in late summer/early fall. As the curtain went up, it was very warm and comfortable, but as the show went on, the weather turned. A cold front came through, it poured with rain, and the temperature dropped about 20 degrees. As the performance ended, soaked and freezing cold, I went back to the car and hastily took off every last stitch of clothing and turned the heater on full-blast. I was living with roommates at the time, but they were not home when I got there, and luckily the driveway spot was open, so I parked right in front of the house (instead of out on the street), grabbed my soaked clothes and went inside. Apart from driving around the c/o resort, that's the only time I've driven naked. It was only about 10 miles from the venue to the house, and after dark as well.

I too, had a "necessary" instance, though I was a passenger rather than driver.
I had locked my keys in the car at Cypress Cove on a holiday weekend. No local locksmiths were available, so one of the maintenance workers drove me to my house where I had a spare set. My house was back in the woods from the road, so there was no problem getting out of the pickup truck, getting my spare keys, and getting back in. It never occurrred to me till later I could have gotten shorts while I was inside, but my mind was just on the keys. So I also rode BACK to Cypress Cover naked.

We are going to have close friends come to visit for a long weekend, soon. This is the couple that has expressed interest in going on a driving trip with us in the motorhome and being able to be naked while traveling. We'll be talking about and researching those possibilities during their visit. ;-)

Time to upgrade from a camper to a motorhome with all due haste!!!
We did it again... Driving from Orlando to Miami -- totally nude with the convertible top down. (260mi/420km) It was a stunning day--and the Florida's Turnpike wasn't overly crowded. We went up on Saturday--and it was like Rush Hour the entire time! We didn't feel like pushing the envelope. Still it was a nice 3h Nude Drive!

The motorhome has been in storage far too long. We've got to get it out and get in it, take our clothes off and get on the road! And we thought being retired was going to give us lots of free time. Had more vacation time when we were working! hahaha
That's what we thought the first summer we were retired, so we didn't book anything in advance intending to take off whenever it suited us.We ended up so committed that we didn't get away at all.
