New AANR President.
We have just learned that our friend Bev Price has been elected as the new president of AANR. Bev is the owner and founder of The Arizona Wildflowers of which we had the privilege of being members. Bev has been very active in promoting nudist causes for many years, has visited many clubs and resorts, and has made thousands of friends. The fact that she won by over 70% of the vote shows how much people like and respect her. I am very happy for her, wish her well in her new endeavor, and pledge to support her in everything she does.
Yea Bev. You go girl.
DesertRat and Wife.
Congratulations Mrs. Price!
The one thing I think would help all nudists everywhere is more "economic organization" such as jobs, event marketing, sharing of travel to events and a presence of AANR at events such as the Fremont Arts Council's Solstice parade, Burning Man, Bare to Breakers and ANY World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) event. I feel the idea of a national organization is a powerful thing, while the reality of it is kind of "hidden" or less well-known, and the achievements of it (its history, maybe) are almost completely unknown outside of established nudist sites, circles and businesses. Am I wrong about that?

First ... we wish Bev well and hope her term is a successful one.
I understand what you are stating, Centauri4, but in our opinion, "the one thing I think would help ALL nudists everywhere is ..." for one national organization or the other, to finally stop the grandstanding and come together to address ALL the needs of ALL nudists everywhere.
AANR has not been on our list of friends since going behind the back of TNS and throwing our nude beach, San Onofre State Beach, under the bus. That decision came back to bite them right in the ass. They made a deal with the devil and the devil never keeps his/her promises. The deal was that if they didn't fight with TNS and litigate the DPR on San O, they (DPR) would leave the remaining nude tolerated beaches alone. The DPR sold AANR a bill of goods and within the same year, began hassling nudists on several other nude tolerated beaches in CA and handing out citations for simple nudity.
It's been time for far too long, for these two org's to put down their differences and work together on matters that really, really matter and that's saving what nude places we have that are not clubs or resorts. It's time for them to come together and "...help ALL nudists everywhere..." and not just those that prefer clubs and resorts. They both need to work on working together.
It's our hope that Bev Price is finally that AANR President to do so.
Again, Andy articulates well a very good issue. I am too new to be aware of the diferences between the organizations but totally agree that there needs to be far more effort to protect and expand our rights to enjoy simple, non-sexual nude time in parks and beaches. I realize there are a lot of challenges but to be at risk of citation and even sex offender lists just because I want to walk a nature trail nude is just bad.
Congratulations Beth and best wishes.Jack
Ms. Price is interested in knowing of problems people have had with AANR in the past. If you had had some experience that you would like to make known please do it here. I will see that it is passed on to her. Please stick to facts only. Do not report anything that you're not certain about. Names, places and dates certainly help but do not report anything that will make you feel uncomfortable. Suggestions for corrective action will also be appreciated. Please try to be as brief as possible.
