Do you have a standard response?

When somebody points out that you're barefoot or asks where your shoes are, do you have a standard response? My usual is "Shoes just slow me down!" That's enough of an answer for most people. :)

Personally, I would think judgemental questions in that regard are best ignored, let them go through to the keeper. We do not have to justify ourselves. Happy to respond if someone seems genuinely interested and I find there are some converts as a result.perhaps those in Hawaii have it best when asked to leave their shoes at the front door. Love some of their signs, particularly the one that asks shoes be left at the door.... As the dog needs something to eat. Enjoy their humour.
