Future of Haulover
Does anyone know about the future plans of Haulover beach? A lifeguard stated that the plan was to eventually eliminate the nude beach. The parking lot change is one step. I've heard this from another source but haven't seen anything official. I really can't see the closing it but then again, it depends on who has the power and influence
"Organic" is a bullshit term designed to put power in the hands of marketers and politicians. Organic ought to be cheaper for two reasons: no costs for pesticides, etc. and lower transportation costs since not using artificial preservation it must be obtained locally, but instead of those cost savings being passed along higher prices are passed along instead. Grow your own or buy from your local farmer's market.
That will be terrible. I always walk in both directions of the beach, and that part of the beach is the only part that is always is full.
Doesn't matter if the beach is nude or not. It is always pervert people around. Most of the tourists don't care how difficult is to have that small piece of the whole beach for nudist people. They just want to make their fantasy of public or beach sex real.
People it is a time and place for everything and that beach is not for that.
They already closed the shower room, thanks people having sex there.
Please don't give them an excuse to close the nude beach.
Speaking as a local, I was at Haulover today (Wednesday 6th) and yesterday and even though it was very quite on both days, nobody I spoke to has heard anything about the nudist part of the beach closing, even the life guards. As someone mentioned above, it's the only part of the beach that gets full, the rest of the beach north and south of the fences were deserted. As for tourists fulfilling their public sexual fantasies, maybe Im blind but in the ten years Ive been going to Haulover the most Ive ever seen was a few men showing an erection. Maybe down the southern part of the beach things are different?
It would really suck if that happened. You can stay on top of those issues by joining the South Florida Free Beaches https://sffb.com/default.php
They also have a facebook page as well. Check them out. They advise of any political issues to be concerned about etc.
Check them out.
