More comfortable nude around the opposite sex

For some reason I find that I am more comfortable being nude around females in general. It's not a sexual thing, as I strongly believe that nudity doesn't equate to sex. I feel that our actions and words are what can make things sexual and not just the act of being nude itself. I think that it might be because I haven't gotten much experience being nude around others socially. And the few friends that I have been nude around and know of my nudism are female. This might have something to do with that, but I still feel that in general I feel more comfortable around females.
I was wondering if anyone else feel the same way too?

RE: More comfortable nude around the opposite sex

I have enjoyed being nude since i was a child. In the early years I enjoyed being nude with or for females but was uncomfortable around males. After having a few nude experiences with males i now find that i am equally comfortable being nude with either sex even if they are all clothed with me the only nude. I have no explanation for any of this but merely answering your question. Basicly.....try it you may find you like it !

Now I am equally comfortable with either males or females. When I was younger, I was more comfortable nude around women or mixed groups, except for locker room nudity with males, which was no big deal.

FWIW: I have not yet visited any kind of naturist/nudist resort. All my nudism so far has been at home, alone - unless you count my cat. However, I have {always?} felt that it was easier to 'open up' mentally & emotionally to females than males. That said, I have {or have had} close friends, both male *and* female, that I have been close to.

I have only been nude around women at the nude beach and at my age it doesn't matter. Maybe when I was young i would have been shy. I've been nude around men mainly in the locker room and of course the beach. My first test around women at the beach was on our honeymoon. They had a nude beach attached the resort we were at in Jamaica. Really didn't know how I/it was going to behave but everything was so peaceful it was okay!

Glad to see I'm not the only one who feels this way. I hope that after going to more social events I'll be more comfortable around everyone equally.

RE: More comfortable nude around the opposite sex

I'm naturally a very social and friendly person so ... being more comfortable around the opposite sex, while nude,is natural for me but I'm also very comfortable being nude around the same sex as well. I get along well with males and females and I was raised to be a gentleman. Sometimes, females, younger females don't know how to handle that. Pulling out a chair for them, opening a door for them, getting up and giving up your chair for them, allowing them to cut in line for the restroom, saying "please, thank you, your welcome," I find that some of the younger females find that foreign and don't know how to handle it. Being complimentary ... yikes, that doesn't go over very well with the younger females! At least those that I've encountered but there are always exceptions to the rule.
During our nudist gatherings with friends, if nothing is happening at our friends home that needs fixing or building ... I'm more apt to go with the women shopping. I don't mind it and neither does our friend that owns the home where we gather, in AZ. I'll get up and go with my wife, the couple that owns the house and maybe one of the other female friends and go to garage sales, visit furniture shops and hunt for things for their place.
I also like to pick their brains a bit for their take on nudism/naturism. That's were I get some of my information to reply to posts by female members on these types of sites. My wife gives me all of her input but I'm always interested in what other females have to say on the subject. Luckily, our female nudist friends are open and honest and tell me what they think and I like to share that with others. A couple of the other guys don't like to shop, talk to the women and just want to sit in a lounge chair all day and bake in the sun. That's okay for them and I like to do that once in a while but ... I also prefer the social aspect of relationships with our female friends and that includes times when we do wear clothes.

I'm more comfortable around women, but only slightly so, then men. Maybe it's because women are more social, as a generalization, than most men are. The nude factor doesn't change that for me at all, it's still the same levels.

I'm comfortable being naked with anyone as long as they are comfortable with my nudity. It makes no difference whether they are male or female or even if they are not nudists themselves.I went for a full body wax. The lady asked me to undress and lay on the table, which I did. Then she lay a towel over my mid-riff. I wondered why. I told her I wasn't shy. She'd seennaked menbefore and later she was going to be dealing with, and handling, my most intimate parts.I short while ago I got into difficulties while skinny-dippingat a nude venue. I was rushed off to hospital naked and with absolutely nothing. The medics were happy as it gave easy access to the patient and I was happy to be naked amongst doctors and nurses of both sexes. I stayed that way for days. They complimented me on my all-over tan. Those are just two examples of me being comfortable amongst non nudists of both sexes. I'm even more comfortable amongst fellow nudists, even when they are clothed. When out walking naked I carry a transparent sarong. If I approach another hiker I put it on. It shows willing (to stop any adverse reaction). They are always amused when we pass and they realise they can see through it to my fully naked body.
