Insensitive moderators in the chat
I simply asked if there are any gay men in the chat and was banned. It is not illegal to be gay. If my preference is to chat with other gay, male nudists, then why should I be banned? If I was a mechanic and wanted to chat with other mechanics would I get banned?I feel discriminated against. I happen to be a gay male looking to chat with others in the gay community. Is this breaking the rules?
It certainly absolutely should NOT be against the rules! Unless there is more to the story (other statements or inappropriate CAMing), that is a perfectly acceptable question to ask IMHO. You deserve an apology (but not likely to get it).
By your own admission, you were trolling in the chat room looking to chat with other gay male nudists. That IS against the chat rules. Why not chat with others ? I am sure you do not ask that question when you are at a nude beach or a resort or any other social nudist functions ( least I hope you don't ). You mentioned you felt discriminated against because you were banned from chat but yet you did not take into consideration there are straight, bi etc.....chatters in the chat room yet you were looking to chat with other gay male nudists. I will chat to anyone that is polite and respectful regardless of their sexual orientation. You are looking to chat with other gay male nudists and you say YOU are being discriminated against ? This could be a good time to reflect and take a good look in the mirror...Ell
Ellson...I totally agree with what you are saying..You really have no merit in my eyes as your profile has no pic etc...Im sure for your own reasons...That's discriminating against whom ever you do not want to see your Profile..Just observing..
Totally disagree with both of you. Am I discriminating if I ask is there any females that want to chat with me? Am I wrong if I want to know if there are any boaters in the crowd? This is ridiculous. We are entitled to our preferences and personal interests. In and of itself, the simple questions was nothing than a question of are there anyone out there that are interest to him. EVERYTHING else is read into it by those that see fault.
Sheeeesh people. Your nudists (or are you). You are supposed to be non judgmental and accepting of everyone. Be nice.
I'm with John on this one. I wasn't there so I don't know what actually happened but unless the OP was making repeated requests that could be interpreted as trolling then it shouldn't matter if he wanted to speak to someone in particular.
I don't spend much time in chat anymore, but I do remember members asking if married couples wanted to chat, single fathers, females. Then there are non English speaking members that ask to chat with others in their own language. It shouldn't be considered trolling, unless it was severely repeated.
I too agree with John at this time. But so far we have only heard one side of the story. The moderator's side of the story is needed.
I agree, we should reserve judgement until hearing both sides. Perhaps the moderator concerned would be good enough to give his side of the story.
I find it interesting that this exact post is on atleast 3 different threads here, all worded exactly the same by the same member, I was in the room when this incident happened, and yes I feel jere may have acted a little quickly on this instance, but the fact it is now being trolled around the forums makes me think that maybe he didn't, those of us that use the chat do get very sick and tired of those who do nothing but troll the room for specific people. as one response above states, we are nudists and should be more tolerant, well shouldn't those requesting a specific demographic be more tolerant and broaden there horizans also?
