KAP Photo Of The Top of a Lighthouse

I just uploaded a photo of Bodie Island Lighthouse, located in the North Carolina Outer Banks. {I pronounce the name 'Beau-dee', but the correct pronunciation may be 'body'.} Photo was taken on 05 July 2009 // Sunday. I took *many* photographs that day, but this one is one of the best for showing the top of the light fairly close-up. One nice thing about this particular lighthouse is that you can almost get up right next to it. Both the Hatteras and Currituck Lighthouses are surrounded by trees, or otherwise not as 'out in the open' as Bodie Light is. Those are the only three lighthouses in the NC Outer Banks that I have visited in person {or KAP'd}.

RE: KAP Photo Of The Top of a Lighthouse

I uploaded a second lighthouse photo, taken on 12 July 2009 // Sunday, of the Currituck Lighthouse {or Corolla Lighthouse, I never can remember which name is correct}. It is near the town of Duck, in the North Carolina Outer Banks, several miles to the North of Bodie Lighthouse. You can see by this photo how the lighthouse itself is surrounded by trees. That 'red thing' hanging down in the upper left part of the photo is a 'KAP Feather'. It is made by a KAP'er here in NC by the name of Mike Jones - he sells them - and it acts like a kind of 'drogue' to help steady my KAP rig in gusty winds. {His website is https://www.jonesairfoils.com .} I *DID NOT* realize the KAP Feather was in the way of the camera until I was done shooting these photos - I got photos closer to the lighthouse, but most were partially blocked by the drogue, or the auto-focus of the camera focused on the KAP Feather instead of the lighthouse in the background.
