The last day?
Ah me. Was this the last day to doff the clothing and enjoy a brief celebration of the sun and nature as the gods have intended?
I left work and headed to my special place on the eastern shore of Grand Traverse Bay known as Antrim County Natural Area. After a long walk up the beach I realized it was warm enough to doff the clothing and enjoy the lowering sun on my naked skin.
OH, glorious sun and beach with the seagulls dancing a ballet to the rhythm of the waves, pirouetting across the sky over the
water with the sun lowering in the sky, the waves sparkling like yellow diamonds leaving a sunbeam trail across the bay to meet the
distant Lelanau peninsula.
I felt the sun's warmth on my skin as if, in a gesture of lovers parting, I felt its rays as a caress , a reminder that soon
it's warmth would no longer be felt until the next year's promise of spring and the summer that renew my friendship
with the nature and the solar blessing.
Blessed be.
