Local nudist beaches in Melb

I used to go to Port Melb -unofficial nudist part - but now they are changing it all with a park etc. Just wondering if anyone knows of some local nudist beaches...apart from sunnyside or point addis. Cheers

Apparently red bluff at Beaumaris is unofficially a nude beach

CheersI tend to head down great ocean road to point addis or impossible! The other bush location is kangaroo ground but apparently that is being monitored closely by local police because of fire risk!

Apart from sunnyside, Pt impossible and cambells cove (already mentioned) there is a beach on the peninsula called Somer's beach. It is not illegal to be nude there. Unofficially, I like Oaks Beach down at cape patterson. I took some nude photos on my profile at Oaks beach. It is a bit rocky but in a good way (rockpools) and surf can be a bit dangerous, There are two permanent rips, so be careful or experienced swimmer when going out for swim, otherwise it has sandy dunes for sunbathing and high bluffs give privacy. It is a shame there is nothing official closer to the city, even just bushland as mentioned. Kangaroo ground is lovely but some Melbourne city nudist members have been asked for ID by police, and warned not to use the area. I think it may be due to people leaving rubbish behind so the locals have complained, but bushfire makes sense too.Are there any other inner city places to go nude I have not heard about?

Thanks for the post, MelbBen. I wasn't aware of Oaks Beach - looks a great spot and worth a visit. :)

I grew up in Inverloch and Oaks was the first beach I went to.. Fond memories and I'm looking forward to summer and spending more time there!
