Happy Veteran's Day
Hello! I wanted to start this today:
Happy Veteran's Day
To say Thank you for giving the ultimate sacrifice to our country the United States of America.
I found this online and will give credit at the end to the website for reference:
We Owe Them a Lot
On Veterans Day we remember again
Our men and women who served;
We honor them now for what they did then:
The liberties they preserved.Lets never forget their sacrifice,
The hard, heavy work they have done;
They did what was asked, crucial needs they fulfilled,
With a telephone, pencil or gun.Were happy and proud to honor them;
They gave so much more than they got.
Our heroes, our veterans kept freedom safe;
All of us owe them a lot.

I may be a little late here in sending a Veteran's Day salute, but it's never too late to thank a veteran for their service. They should be remembered and thanked every time we enjoy the blessings of liberty that they guaranteed for us. But we must always remember to thank those unsung heroes who, in their own way, served our Country. I am referring to the wives, parents and children of those who served. Their service was quiet and unheralded but none the less, they also served. Our service members could not have served us as well as they did if it weren't for these loved ones who also temporarily, and some times permanently, sacrificed for our nation and the freedoms that we all hold so dear. Let us never forget ALL those who have served.
I always appreciate someone thanking me for my service. I too return the thanks to all those that served in the armed forces, each time I see someone in uniform.Thanks for the acknowledgment and Thanks tomy fellow vets here on TN! ;-)
