nude protest
if 1000 people agreed to gather in front of your state capital and all get nude in defense of nudist rights would you join in. what would your excuse not to and could they actually arrest 1000 naked people.

I have been involved in at least 2 nudist protests--both used First Amendment Freedom of Speech as justification. No one was arrested.

bill i was watching bill orielly last night apparently the aclu is involved in a case in oregon where a lady is nude the majority of the time outdoors and they are defended it as her first amendment rights, needless to say i thought oregon was pretty liberal when it came to peoples rights but this may be the town and not the state doing the fighting. i would need to see more and i also think there is a time or place for everything but if i remember right part of there argument is her being nude in here yard. i would love to be nude in the yard but that will never be allowed especially down here but i give her credit for her beliefs .

The naked lady in Ashland, Oregon is Jennifer Moss, better known as Earth Friend Jen. I've corresponded with her a few times. She is a nice lady and, when it comes to nudity, completely fearless. Right or wrong, she forces the issue. I think she has since moved back to Ojai, California where she has also had issues with law enforcement.

I admire Earth Friend Jen for her gumption and standing up for what she believes in.

I would join in and would not need as many as 1000 people with me. The only way we can make nudism more acceptable is to become more open about it. While I would not support a plan that I felt would be detrimental to making nudism acceptable I certainly would support one that I thought would benefit us.
A few years ago I walked naked down one of the main streets of San Francisco as part of the Bare to Breakers Race. I have also participated in demonstrations where I was part of a group that was nude.
While I have never actually been arrested for being nude in public areas I have received written warnings and had my name and address taken by police.
