why ???????????????????????
are people so afraid to post their real first name, I mean geezzzzzz I would like to call some one Bill or Jane instead of nudistinheat, or outinthesun, I mean you don't go a resort and introduce yourself that way, do you ? I mean that doesn't give your identity away , I mean like bill8, or bill88, or so on . does anyone have an opinion one way or the other, I mean even if jane, mary, fred is not your first name I still think it would be better than some on here

Perhaps in part because the forums and the profile basics are not behind a password wall - so anybody Google-ing "Hector nudist" will get Hector's profile and forum posts. I use my first name in my profile name because I have nothing to hide, but a lot of folks do lead divided lives, and try to keep the parts separate. Also, a large proportion of folks on the site are not really committed to nudism at all, seeing it as something risque or illicit, and are kinda slumming here. And I suppose a few are fearful that a crazed internet fan will somehow look them up and knock their front door down with the butt of an Uzi.

- You do realize that divulging too much info on the internet scares many people ... don't you? It's their choice to make on how much info they want to share and are comfortable with. Most internet conversation, communication and discussion, on websites, message boards, blogs ... involves the use of "handles." In some cases, one partner or the either is not comfortable with their names out there, their images and many have valid reasons. We shouldn't judge people because they don't use the real names, give us all the information about them we request or post pictures of themselves clothed or naked. It shouldn't matter if they are "certified" or not.
I've made many friends here with "handles." After we've communicated a bit, they will respond to messages or emails using their real names and that works between us and them. I've also become friends with many who are here and have no nude pictures of themselves but I'm certain they are nudists because of the conversations we've had.
Nudists complain constantly about being judged ... but I find that the nudist is judged most by ... other nudists.
.............agree, I also have many friends here and after awhile their names show on messages, but won't bill, jane, emma or the like even if it isn't their name be better than some on here lol. and Ruhl is my first name

I believe that many people on public forums want to remain anonymous so that they don't have to accept any responsibility for what they say. They can act stupid with impunity.

That maybe true in many cases Bill but my handle was to give other members a quick idea of my location,'the only part I left out was the word " in " ie. Ausmaninvic, many that would stop some calling me Vic.
As for using my real name I do have in my profile and I use it when messaging friends on here.
But to each their own . I really don't trust the internet as there are too many not nice people on it.

My REAL name is Robert, but I go by the common pseudonym of Bob. The "Bit Flipper" refers to my profession as a Senior Information Technology Specialist.
My profile picture is the real me, showing my face.

While I'm getting more comfortable with this site, I am still reluctant to reveal too much due to the large number of fakes out there.
BYW - my name is David

There is no telling if the name someone gives is genuine, so why bother.
