Big Al saw his shadow, too!!

Near Beaumont, Texas, there is an alligator farm/exhibit facility, and each Groundhog's Day they have their own version of the determination of whether there will be more winter or not. As some of you know, alligators hibernate during the winter in underground holes, and obviously do not eat. Well, GatorCountry has a 15 foot gator known as Big Al. Each ground hogs day, they coax him from his underground lair and tempt him with a raw chicken. If he eats the chicken, it's said that winter is nearly over. If Big Al ignores the chicken and heads back underground, it's 6 more weeks of winter.

Well, today, Big Al ignored the chicken.

NO! -- not funny! ... it's very sad: six more weeks of winter (the snow's coming down right now)!
Makes a person just want to crawl under the sheets and blankets and quilts and ... well, hibernate.

I looked at the calendar and it said the same thing, six more weeks of winter. What a funny coincidence!
