first social nude resort
I'm not really new to nudism sort of, I mean I go around my home naked as often as am able but I never tried the social nudity scene yet. I am from Michigan U.S. all the nude resorts are close because of winter, well most I know there a few. I know there's a few 12 hour drive or that are open year round but the close ones are close during the winter.
anyways my point. what are some of the things I should know, I know the basics, use your own towel, if you plan on swimming bring 2 one to sit on and the other to dry off with dont stare and keep your head and eyes on their face area. anything else important I should know?
Call ahead. Some resorts limit who they let in, some do not allow unaccompanied males. Luckily my local resort does, so I got in first time without any problem.
It might be a good idea to join AANR now during the winter, most resorts offer discounts to AANR members and if they are at all fussy who they let in, this will help your plea.
As for 2 towels, definitely, you'll need two to cover the sun-lounger at the pool. But to dry off with? You will drip dry in minutes, the beauty of being nude!! No need for drying off!!
Since you are a nudist all you'll need to take with you is ID, towel(s), toothbrush+paste (if you stay overnight), sandals, small carry bag, sunglasses and sunscreen. Take enough cash for food/drinks not everywhere accepts credit cards, most do however. I always carry water in the car in case the bar is closed.
If the resort offers lockers for valuables, I'd spring for that, its great to be able to lock your car keys, phone and wallet up and know they are safe while you go off to a restaurant or for a swim. No photography allowed at most resorts, they'll soon fill you in on their policy, some have strict phone policies, some don't. No locker? Your car is your locker.
Enjoy your first social nude outing!!
P.S. If you find yourself self-conscious about disrobing for the first time in front of others, undress in the car and simply step out.
