Regrets?
Do you have a time that when looking back you realized " I could have taken my clothes off " or " I sure wished I had had the boldness to strip down" but didn't?
There are two that I look back on both involve my naked bucket list.
I was in Negril and went out on a boat to parasail. The boat had picked me and 2 couples up at the pier that divides the prude beach form the nude beach at Hedonism II. I had not met the couples before. We took turns parasailing behind the boat, but I kept my shorts on. The guy from one and the gal from the other went up tandem then we returned to the resort. It was not until later inthe day that we all re-met up on the nude beach and discovered they too had wanted to parasail nude but were not sure how I would have reacted.
The other time I had taken the engineer's tour of the bridge over Auckland harbor. I was in a one piece suit provided by the tour company and hooked off to the bridge at all times while we worked our way to the very top of the bridge. Posed for pics taken by my guide. On the way down he pointed out the opportunity to bungee jump from the bottom of the bridge. it was a weekday I was the only person on the tour. I declined since I had begun my tour of New Zealand by bungee jumping clothed on the first day of the trip.Given Kiwi's casual attitude about nudity I am pretty sure the staff would have allowed me to bare all for a plunge down below the bridge. Missed my opportunity because " I had spent enough money already" Kick myself for missing that time to bare and plunge.
Yup, I missed a golden opportunity a few years ago. I took a tour of Antarctica, and we spent some time in a bay on an actual sandy/pebbly beach one sunny warm afternoon (45 F?). The guides brought towels for anyone who wanted to take a splash, so a lot of us (mostly the guys) stripped to our skivvies and ran into the water--and then ran out pretty quickly. This was a very easy going group, and it would have been so OK to take that splash naked--nice topic of conversation at dinner. There was at least one other guy on the trip that probably would have joined if I'd been bold enough.
Amazing trip. It's really enough that I swam in the Southern Ocean, but to have skinnydipped in the Southern Ocean--now that's unique. Have had some nice naked outdoor times on the other 6 continents.
Sure ... we both have regrets ... about starting our social nudism sooner and joining a club and taking our girls to the club often so they found friends that had the same thoughts and philosophy of nudism as they did. Their textile friends screwed them up! hahaha
My wife's biggest regret is that ... "I was right!" I tried to get us to embrace social nudism earlier but she was not having any part of it. She was content living nude, being a backyard nudist and didn't see any thing positive about social nudism. Since becoming social nudists ... she's made her best friends ever and only wishes she'd met them sooner but still will not admit she should have listen to me all those years ago! LOL
