What is manscaping to you?

I looked up the definition of manscaping and though I found many definitions the wording always came down to the same common denominator. If you clip, shave or pluck body hair you are manscaping. Basic facial and head hair maintenance seem to be excluded except when there is a lot of care taken with products and look....(like shaping ones beard etc).
I usually clip my head hair once a month and clip my beard at the same time. I cut my hair against my head going almost bald and do the same with my facial hair. I always leave fuzz in both places and never shave fully except my neck to clean it up and so I don't get ingrown hairs.
I see a lot of guys who manscape beyond their head/facial hair in the nudist community but also in this group. I am curious at the level of manscaping that makes sense to you individually? I am ok with shaving my neck and clipping my head hair and facial hair but beyond that I am not interested in manscaping......
If you just clip your pubes do you think of it as manscaping? Does it create an emotional response to "Clean it Up"? Do you feel cleaner? Better?
My emotional response to others maintaining is almost always a sad heart, like we are all missing out on nudities fullness of beauty, its comfort and freedom...

RE: What is manscaping to you?

To me manscaping means trimming, cutting, plucking or otherwise removing hair from one's body on areas other than the head, face or neck, done for purposes of vanity or bodily 'adorment'. By adornment I mean making one's male body look unnatural in terms of hair, such as creating patterns, making oneself smooth or anything that is otherwise unnatural for a man's appearance. Exceptions would include such things being done for medical reasons such as surgery or prep for a vasectomy. Also excluded would be doing such for purposes of bodily hygiene. As an example, I used to have a friend who had coarse hairs growing out of the trunk of his penis--he trimmed them regularly without compromising his masculne appearance and for functioning better during intercourse. I also excludetrimming one's beard for reasons of appearance, which has to do more with good grooming than vanity. This has really made me think a bit, I welcome other's comments on what I've written. In response to your question, Caru, I DO think that clipping one's pubes is manscaping, I like bushes that're hairy and wild!.:-). . No manscaping for this body!. . Nor for this hairy ass and scrotum.

I cut my hair once a month. Shave my face daily (a requirement for work, but when on a break, enjoy growing stubble).I recently had my balls waxed to see how it looked and felt. I'll let the hair grow back as it just didn't look right having a hairy groin and hairless scrotum.
