RE:Driving barefoot

I was talking to an ex-Florida sheriff at Cypress Cove and asked him if it was illegal to drive naked. He said technically no but his wife piped in that it is illegal to drive barefoot in Florida. I expressed my opinion that driving in flops is probably more dangerous than barefoot and he kind of agreed. And if you are driving a stickshift with a clutch flops suck. at least the left one does.

First, I drive barefoot when I am wearing flip flops or if I'm able to strip and drive naked. It is kind of a PITA to put my tennis shoes back on, sometimes, but worth it to be able to drive naked and barefoot.

Second, I too have talked to local Sheriffs, Highway Patrol, city cops from many different departments and they've ALL said, "it's not illegal to drive naked and they wouldn't not waist their time chasing someone down unless it was reported that naked driver was acting in a lewd manner. Simply driving naked is not a priority, " with any of these law enforcement officers. They did say to me; "be sure to wear your seat belt and be careful!!" ;D

I love being Barefoot and driving barefoot.I believe there's something that is naturally and physicallyrejuvenating when your flesh is in contact with the Earth, as though your grounding yourself in nature. I've often wondered if there's a scientific study as to how much this can impact the physical body when you are electrically grounded to the Earth via your skin.

FreeLee, either you've discovered it independently or you are aware of it from some other source but there is indeed a movement called "Earthing" which oromotes healing aspects of feet touching bare earth. I know that I love to be iutdoors in bare feet and regardless of scienific evidence to date I am convinced it supports my health. Articles on line, I think I first saw a blurb in the AARP magazine.

Though I dont always drive bare foot I can relate to connection you decide when I do. Same reason I am barefooted in the first place feels more grounded and connected

I am also a barefoot driver. Normally to walk, I use a Croc Flip Flop or an Arizona Birkenstock and I drop them on the side to drive. Its the best feeling there is. Agree 100% with you.

I've been driving barefoot since 2009 and going barefoot almost as long. I keep my shoes and flip flops in the car "in case I need them". Ive been driving barefoot for so long that I'm uncomfortable driving with shoes.

Almost like me: I started practicing barefooting iol a few years before you, in 2006. Before then, I only drove barefoot in the summer, when I wore flip flops. Only in 2006, and until now, do I regularly drive barefoot, and walk barefoot even outside the home.
