RE: Group messages

It would be nice to be able to send a messsage to all members of a group or on your friends list.
Tom, I am only guessing, but I reckon that the bulletins only go to your friends, otherwise there would be a lot more of them. I agree if we could bulk mail all the members of a group and get notifications of recent activity within the group, it might help generate some communication between members.

Phil.

Phil, the bullitens only go to your friends, I have never gotten any from someone who wasn't a fried. The thing I am thinking about though is some people may not look at the bullitens list to notice something new, you don't get a message that there is something new there in your regular email like you do with a message.
I thought of another thing, which is what I was intending to post here in the first place, bad case of CRS here. LOL
It would be nice if you could go directly to the certified chat. It is starting to be used more now, but sometimes you get caught in open chat as you are passing through.

Yeah Tom, (is it ok to call you Tom, Thomas seems so formal) :( I can see where your coming from, ....just don't know where you been!!! lol .........and what's CRS when it's at home? :(
Re bulletins, see what you mean, mail would be better. Had an Idea for your chat, before you go in, type "Hi everyone, can't stop! ......just passing through!!!! :)" then copy it onto the mouse and paste it in the chat as you go through, with luck, you'll get to the certified chat before anyone can respond :)

RE: Group messages

Now that this forum is getting busier, I think we really need a longer recent posts page, I often have a job to find posts. :(

RE: Group messages

Just had a thought, re certification pic possible loophole. Thought about trying it myself, but I might get deleted and I couldn't face writing all those posts again! lol. Opps, I digress. I have noticed several people HAVE posted their certification pic on their profile. We need a rule against this, because if they were to post both cert pics, someone could pinch them, create a username with one letter different and then submit them to get their profile certified. They might well get though the system without being spotted and as there is no requirement to post cert pic on your profile, no one would ever know.

RE: Group messages

Phil, you can call me Tom or Thomas, just don't call me late for dinner. LOL
CRS= Can't Remember Stuff LOL
I handn't thought about the risk of someone stealing your photo if you post your certification pics. I only posted one of them not both, but will change it to certified friends only till I decide whether or not to delete it.

Thanks Tom, hehe, it's hard to keep up with you young'ns these days.
One pic's ok, it's no good to anyone without the other, it's a pretty long shot anyway.

RE: Recommendations, Upgrades, Bugs

A Forum search tool, or a link to all the posts that someone has made is useful,

as is a link, to all the comments they have made,

if your wanting to get to know someone.

RE: BUG REPORT.

There seems to still be an issue with groups where the owner has deleted their profile. I've noticed three. The "Poetry and Creative Writing" group, the "London couples group". and the "Arabic nudist" group.

Since the creators deleted their profiles, they have all lost their Titles, descriptions and rules. There was for some time, another pic where the creators pic should be, this has recently changed to another a pic of the guy that got upset the other week about the "Bi Nude Hunters" group, showing his pic as creator.( this group now has a new creator) This same pic is on the other three groups.

MRSrock and I have both tried to edit the poetry groups title, description and rules, (we are both mods) but it won't save it. We would like it to show MRSrock as creator. Otherwise it is functioning ok.

The group list is showing on the London group, as having 11 members (I know one of them and on their profile they are shown as being a member) but when you enter the group, there is no one there.

A similar thing is affecting the "Older Men Looking For Younger Women For Sunbathing & Activities" group, the list is showing 15 members, but again when you enter, there is only the creator sitting there all alone. I think in this case the rest are hiding, too embarrassed to show their faces :)
