I think sometimes

having foreskin keeps the penis retracted, as is my case. I find that if my foreskin is covering my penis, it is very small, peanut size. If back behind the glans, then my penis shows fuller and a bit longer.

But to many of us, the foreskin in place over that glans looks more "natural."
