Getting certified

I know of many profiles on here that I've found to be using other peoples photos. It is fair to all members to get certified. Of the approximately 232,000 members on this site only approx 12,000 are certified. Just over 4%. Why don't people do it?

RE: Getting certified

From the "Get Certified" page:
Why Get Certified?Getting certified locks in your username, and gender. It allows other members to know with certainty that they are speaking to the person portrayed in your profile.
I don't care about those things. I have a screen name and a profile. If people find what I type to be interesting & present a personality they like, so be it. If not, not. And I don't think it guarantees much. It may guarantee the picture, but all the other info in a profile could be fake.
I'm here to talk about naturism & nudism, not really to connect personally, in real life, with others. If I want personal nudist connections, I can go down to the local resort.

RE: Getting certified

I have to agree with Nature Boy.Being certified may be a start, but a start to what? Since all otherdata could be no more than lies or worse yet "bait" there is no start. Certification does not allowothers to have full confidence inyou, only a little at best. It has been my experience that personal face to face meetings in an agreed upon safe location are best in the longrun. If your desire is to simply chat from a distance then perhaps the chat should be long term with understood boundaries of discussion and an end goal in mind. We all desire to have friendships within the nudist community and friendships, by nature, are hard to come by in today's social world, and certainly not made quickly. Thereare very few cases of instant gratification when making friends or believing you are safe with another person. Please do not thinkunkindly of mebecause I have taken a more pragmatic view of this. Things should not be as they are, but, they are.
