New to the group - its a great idea but just where can one get together with others to enjoy thefreedom. Much better idea also against getting fried by the sun on the shoulders and back. I amjust outside of Mtl. Would love to find someone close by with a large area or even a pool whichI cannot swim but W T H. :)
Don't have a pool, but the neighbor does; sometimes they're out of town. Hot tub is down, but if you don't mind wearing steel-toed/soled tennis shoes and hose off afterwards we can always jump in the canal behind the house. We could be in and out before the sheriff shows up. ;~}
Our winters are fairly mild here but sometimes you still need some protection from the winds. In summer I often go Donald Duck at the beach so My shoulders dont get sunburnt too. I enjoy wandering around the beach like that! Its still fun to have genitals out but not getting burned! Our sun is v harsh here.
That's the trouble with online groups: they are worldwide, so good luck finding many people in your own area.
It gets irritating sometimes. I was on a listserv about primitive survival skills. Someone would ask, say, what material to use for a bow drill (a fire starting tool), and everyone would reply with the material local to their own area, which may not be available where the person asking lived. Such answers are not very useful.
It would be helpful on threads like this to mention any major regional groups or events that do something like this.
