New to this group

I am new to this group, but are in other Christian groups in this website. I am working on becoming spirit filled. I am a mainline Protestant (United Methodist), and I do believe in the Bible, as the inspired word of God. However I do not interpret the Bible as the literal inerrant word of God. Today there is among Christians, a huge chasm between those who interpret the Bible as literally inerrant and those who interpret the Bible as The Holy Spirit within guides them.
I believe that the meaning of "born again" is much distorted from the original meaning between Jesus and Nicodemus. Jesus meant a spiritual birth when he spoke with Nicodemus. Today "born again" is vernacular for strict obedience to the literal Bible. I do believe that I am born again, but as a spiritual birth. Some mainline Christians prefer to say "born from above." Some other time, I will tell you about my born again moment.

RE: New to this group

Born again is a spiritual birth that includes, "Becoming born again is simply accepting Jesus Christ as your personal saviour and giving your life to God and surrendering your will to His. You ask Jesus to enter your life and save you from your sins." Paul, you got it.
