Where have my posts gone.

I have seen that about 50 of my posts have gone from my total, so is there is a reason for this.

This site has been running very slowly.
A few of us are experimenting by deleting some of our threads, especially the old ones.
If you posted on those threads your posts will be deleted and your post counts will drop.
My posts are down a little over 9,000.
BTW deleting the old threads seems to be working.

It's a shame if that's the only way to get the speed back up. I've always been a big fan of going back in the archives of Forums on Sites like this one. Takes a lot of time and sifting through the junk, but I've found some real gems while doing that before.

I have noticed that some of the threads in the Humor and Fun section have been pruned - and my post count has gone down as a result. But this is OK. Those threads are fun for the moment - but have limited archeological value ...

We are working on rewriting some of the forum functionality, to speed it up.The speed improvements you're seeing are not from deleting old threads but changes and upgrades we've made to the site.
You do not need to delete old threads, the small amount of space they take is not slowing down the site.
