Eating Nude

Maybe y'all can help me figure myself out.
When I'm home alone, which is a lot, I do everything in the nude, but when I want to sit down and eat, I feel the need to put something on. Why am I that way? What is going on in my brain?

RE: Eating Nude

I'm just guessing here because I have no experience in how the mind works but I would say it's just your upbringing coming to the surface. I have a problem in that I can not leave any food on my plate. I know that I really don't need it but that food must be eaten and can't go to waste. I know that eating food you don't need is also a waste. I was brain washed because of all the starving children in China. I still don't know how my eating that food helped those children in China, but it must have helped. Those same Chinese children grew up and are now eating our lunch.

No idea. Whenever I'm home alone and I eat, I eat naked.Same here, except if we have textile visitors or its too cold and one has to cover up to keep warm.
I only wear clothes to eat if we go out into the textile world for a meal, or we are at the in laws where covering the chest and lower half are a cultural requirement. Be it be trousers and shirt or shorts and singlet.
Same rule applies to both male and female.

I think it is just up bringing. For the longest time I felt the need to put a shirt on when I set down to eat. It goes back to how I was raised where we washed, combed our hair and put a shirt on before siting at the table to eat.

Like others here, I was made to wash up and where a shirt to the table, even if I continued to wear my swimming trunks and had bare feet below. I was a big time jock and swimmer.
The post about being clothed in dining rooms on nude cruises is also something I didn't know.
After I posted this question, the next day/today, I sat down on the couch to eat nude. I had removed my shorts and tank top upon returning from the store a few minutes earlier, and I enjoyed cooking in the nude in my big, new kitchen. Then, I decided to see how I would feel if I didn't slip the shorts and tank top back on that I had just taken off when I got ready to take my tray and breakfast burrito to the couch. I was concerned about the hot ingredients of the food falling into my crotch area, but it didn't bother me but a moment, and I was comfortable eating nude just like I do everything else.
I also wonder if, in the past, I was subconsciously bothered by my fat belly when eating in the nude. When I eat in that position, I have to look at the belly to see the food; there's no table there. Now, I don't over eat, and my waist in much smaller than a few years ago, so perhaps I'm not as self conscious.
Y'all friend me and please check out the Texas Naturists Group here and also on Facebook.

RE: Eating Nude

''why is it on nudecruises ... nudists are required to be clothed in the dining rooms ... Just as the servers and food preparers, there is a thought that an incidental scratch, touch, adjustment, rub ... will somehow taint everyone else's food but your own and that freaks many people out.''
Clothing is only required in the main dining room and any specialty restaurants. If you go to the buffet on the lido deck, you can eat nude so it doesn't seem to be about anything to do with the guests. I'm sure the real reason is that the waiters don't want to serve nude guests, but we will never know. That is just one of the agreements signed into the contract between the nude charter company and whichever cruise line they are going with for that particular cruise. I can only speak for the cruises on the big-ship main lines (Carnival, Celebrity, Holland America, etc). The nude charter company also does much more expensive cruises on high end yachts like the Paul Gauguin and Star Clippers. This rule may not apply on those ships.

RE: Eating Nude

I always eat completely naked because that's the way I live at home - never have a stitch of anything on. I've always particularly enjoyed eating naked because men naturally sit withour legs spread open for dick/balls whichis much more comfortable and natural. Been doing it for decades (60 now). I also like the visual of sitting bareassed eating because it's a part of living and being naked - of which the majority of men unfortunately d not get...Naked Man

RE: Eating Nude

I was aware of this but it's still a bit strange that these waiters will be exposed to nude guest throughout the cruise on every other deck, in every other portion of the ship but don't want to be expose to this in the dining room. I think it's fine to require covering and maybe this happens but ... my wife would be fine with a sheer dress but is that permissible? Does your nakedness have to be covered completely?Additionally ... food prep and service at nude resorts is always done by clothed people and many of these people are nudists ... why?Health Dept regulations. There seems to be something about being naked and handling food. At our club, the entire staff of the Caf are nudists and live in the nudist community, yet they are dressed; top, shorts/pants, shoes, apron. I never really asked but did say to one of the ladies we've become friends with ... "it's hot in here, how come you've got clothes on?" Her reply, "I wish I could be naked but we can't." So ... it seems like there are some regulations with food handling and nudity. Now ... why are those rules in place? Our plans are to take a smaller nude cruise on a smaller ship, with friends. If and when that happens, I'll be sure to report on how that goes and what rules they enforce. Still ... the need to be dressed or covered while eating, at home, just seems strange to us because ... well, we've never had a meal, at home and alone, and had anyclothes on! :DThe waiters would only see nude guests if they are sent to take bar orders up on deck, or sent to man the lido buffet or pool grill. The most senior ones probably get to stay in the dining room for their entire shift. The more expensive cruises on the PG and SC have much higher paid crew who are making this their profession (they are also more likely to be European or North American, where nudity isn't banned by religious law, so the idea of nude passengers won't be totally foreign to them). They are more likely to not have a problem with nude guests at dinner. And of course there are also small sailing yachts you can charter that completely cater to nudists. The crew (most likely the owners) are even likely to be nude with you on those boats!
You need to be covered in the MDR, but sheer dresses and tops have been known to make it through!
Having to be clothed to SERVE food is a different matter, and probably required by the board of health in order to pass inspections. Every nude resort we've been to had clothed kitchen and wait staff, some of which were residents of the resort.

Why am I that way? What is going on in my brain? It just takes a few times in a nude social setting and that need will go away. Our first time eating nude with others was at a large nude lobster bash and was liberating to say the least. We have every meal at in the nude. And have meals nude with nudist friends as well at our home and theirs.
