Thongs? no I do not have any. Why should I? I am a true nudist, and total nudity is my passion. I must admit in the garden I sometimes wear slippers to protect my feet on the gavel and stones. Today has been great, and I have enjoyed total nudity at home.If you wear a thong amongst fellow nudists, are you really one of us?
I am surprised how many TrueNudists post pictures of them self in a thong or T shirt. While a thong may be sexy it does not seem to be what a true nudist would post. I if want to be nude, I want to be totally nude. Other thoughts?
Where I live, it is illegal to show your genitals or your anus (sorry for the blunt language). That means (for women and men) that the minimum you can wear without fear of legal repurcussions is a thong. A g-string is technically not enough fabric as far as the law here is concerned. So the reason might be legal (safety) or it may be that they are not comfortable enough to have a full nude photo. As for me, you'll see a full nude photo before you see a thong, but you're not likely to see either any time soon. Sorry, my decision.
So, the only reason I would choose to wear a thong (other than a joke for my wife) would be for tanning purposes. If I can safely accomplish it, no thong. To date, I tend to skip it if a thong is needed. I'll come back the next day.

Oh, and they really are not very comfortable, but neither are bras and millions of people wear those every day for most of the day.
Perhaps some people with clothed profile pictures uploaded them when they were relatively new to nudism and did not have a naked picture available.If they have subsequently uploaded nude pictures it could be that they have simply not bothered to update their profile.
same word different meaning to me a thong is what we wera on our feet some call them flip flops similar to sandals but just uses your big toe to hold them in place. a g-string is what somw woman wear to beach or when playign sports - yes was bit distracting seeing a co-worker playing squash wearing white shorts and black g-string/thong But yep agree if your on nudist site then should be nude
Technically speaking, a thong is a g-string that has more fabric that goes up the backside in that it covers the anus but still does not cover the butt cheeks. A g-string does not cover the anus. There is a difference. Both genders wear both, as well as any other genders you can come up with.
As for the flip flop part of it, you're right.
