avoiding chafing/blisters
Any suggestions for avoiding irritation while riding nude?
I have riding shorts that work great, but if I go nude I get a lot of rubbing and discomfort on my inner thigh/groin area.
Thanks for any suggestions.

One of my clients does an excellent sheepskin saddle cover......

I use a product called 'body glide', works better than talc as it won't clump if you sweat. It's good for walking/hiking nude as well if things tend to get irritated by rubbing.

IMHO, both terry cloth and various lubricants work well depending on the circumstances. For short nude rides, I lay a small terry cloth towel over my saddle and wind a criss-cross of tape over it and around my seat post to hold it in place. It doesn't always work for long rides (imagine using a loofah on those parts for an hour or two lol), so there I use a lubricant like body glide or butt butter. Most bike shops carry similar products under the category of "chamois cream." I'm sure other solutions can also work. The idea is to prevent friction and sweat from rubbing your tender bits raw against the saddle. Hope that helps!

Ready made seat covers are available for under $20. Google "terry cloth bicycle seat cover".

Butt Butter cream, best stuff on the planet. I would also do the seat cover.

I find I get more sweat and chafing from shorts than I do from nude riding.

I use a seat cover that is close to silk in texture. If needed I will use Butt Butter at the first sign of friction.

I ride a smooth leather saddle (the classical Brooks B-17, not cheap, but perfect) and have no problems with riding naked for hours.
