Politics and nudism. Please read!
Hi everyone! I am a phd student at UC Irvine. I am doing a study on the political preferences of people in the nudism community. I've spent some time at the olive dell nudist ranch in southern california. If you could answer some questions for me, it would be a big help. It is TOTALLY anonymous, free, and has no strings attached. You are helping the nudism community gain legitimacy if you answer these questions. We are trying to shed light on the nudism/naturism community and show that they are a serious, valid, legitimate, group with clear political preferences and that nudism is NOT a sexual thing. Eric,This site is mainly designed as a social networking site for nudists. Are you a nudist? You said you spent some time at a nudist resort but really didn't indicate that you enjoyed social nudism. The best way for you to get an insight into what nudism is all about is to actually experience yourself. I can read a lot of books on sky diving and talk to a lot of actual sky divers, but I will never really know the thrill(?) of sky diving until I actually jump out of a plane with a parachute strapped to my back. It is similar with nudism. I am all for advancing the cause of social nudism, but I want to be sure that I am helping the right individual who is doing the project for the right reasons. I believe that you'll understand that things need to be a win-win situation. To be honest, what you are seeking is information to help you obtain your PHD. I have no problem with that and I congratulate you for your efforts but what I'm looking for is what this will mean to the nudist community and life style. Please help me to understand how this will help promote our interests. How far do you see your promotions going? Is this something that will disappear after you obtain your doctorate? Hi there, my friend and I did spend time nude at a nudist resort and got to spend time with the owners and members of the community. We spent a 12 hour day, nude, and hanging out with nudists. It was great to meet these people and learn from them. They were more than friendly and supportive. They really engaged with us and chatted with us and told us their opinion on nudism issues. It provided an entirely new perspective.

In terms of promoting and helping the nudism community, my project will help a great deal. The results from this study will be published in a book from Cambridge University Press. (All the results will be aggregated and analyzed and no identifiable information whatsoever will be available, so don't worry about that). The books general aim is this: this community is real, it is not about sex, and this community is NOT a socially deviant community. Cambridge is the #1 publisher of academic books. A book published by them about nudism and especially a book that legitimates and makes an argument that the nudist community has real political preferences and is not just a sexual hobby, will advance the nudism cause. It will give the nudist community legitimacy and validity in broader society.
