Non landed club event?
I just recently joinedan newly formed non landed club. During
the winterwe have a monthly event at someone's home.
What we
like to do is find a indoor pool for a pool party.I am
assuming we mite be able to rent a hotel pool for such an
event.
Seeing how the local YMCA may not be the best choice: )
What would be the best approachbe when speaking to the
property manager for renting a pool for a private
party?
If you have done this any
tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
Check any local swim or scuba schools. They'll oftenrent pool time in the evenings after business hours. Firstask if they rent to private parties, then ask if they'd haveproblems with a naturist group. They'll provide their ownlifeguard, who will be in a swimsuit.
Thanks the closest scuba school with and indoor pool would be a
three hour drive away not the best
So that's why I was thinkingof hotel pools along I75 close to
us
.As a single male my best guess would be to let a couple or
female club member make the contact.
Try GooglingFletcher, Ohio pool rentals
I did and what you get is a whole lot of nothing, a list of YMCAs and city ownedout door pools that are closed for the winter.
Did you contact Troy Aquatic Park? Troy is only 10 miles from Fletcher.

Sorry thats a city owned out door pool. I am in a rural area and
the only indoor pools are either YMCAs or hotels.

The hotel option isn't impossible, but is doubtful for any national chain (Holiday Inn, Marriott, etc.) We have gone to a swim in Maine at an independently owned motel in a tourist area that had a pool in a separate building. Eventually the motel closed down for the winter, so the swims became just October, November, April and May. Now the motel has just been sold and the swims are indefinitely suspended (today's November swim is off). The other winter swims we have gone to are in a private residence in Massachusetts with a separate pool building that rents out for different events, including dive training. That swim is Saturdays from 9pm to midnight once other paid renters are done for the day. It is a money stream for a retired woman, so when she eventually sells, the same problem will happen. Your best bet will be an independently owned pool, but it will also be the most precarious.
Remember that swims aren't the only things nudists can do. In the winter there are any number of themed parties you can have. Perhaps someone has a large hot tub. Winter luau, game night, various potlucks, nude movie nights, holiday parties, etc.
Yes there are many things to do and we have, I am justlooking into expanding things a bit.Should membership get to a point were it would harder to have events at membershomes.
GTA SkinnyDippers is a group which has indoor monthly swims, and twice yearly bowling. For the swims they have a table setup before the entrance to the changerooms where you sign in etc. They have coverings setup across all windows and door from the exterior view so anyone cannot see anything. For bowling, they post a notice at the entrance to the venue then again cover all windows and doors. They have an entrance table where you sign in.
The pools are community pools from the recreation centers. The bowling alley is a smaller alley and they rent the entire facility.
The non-landed club I belong to rents a gym one Saturday night a month. The gym has a pool, hot tub, steam rooms, sauna, volleyball, etc. Lots of gyms/spas/health clubs rent themselves out for private parties. Your group should check this out.
