HOT Yoga...

Has anyone tried Bikram Yoga, aka. Hot Yoga? It looks like it might
be a fun way to exercise... if you like to sweat. Special,
absorbent and quick drying clothing is common. I don't think
it is ever done naked, but it might be a good Idea.

I tried it twice and you absolutely do sweat. The room did seem hot when I first walked in but after doing the various poses I felt as if I was able to get more of a stretch since my muscles were so limber. Unfortunately I haven't found a naked hot yoga.

Bare bikram would be the best since you sweat so much anyway. Typically bikram yogis dont wear much anyway though I have seen folks in sweatshirts recently. Not me I would be bare if it was allowed too bad no bare bikram studios.

I looove hot yoga. In fact I prefer it. And when I do yoga at home, I have a space heater pointed right at me to get a little warm. I have not tried it nude but have done it with just shorts. The only problem with all that sweat is that you are now slippery. Need a good towel to wipe off for certain poses or else you keep slipping. Like when on your back and holding your knees. I found it hard to hold on. So actually clothes do help. But I would still give it a try nude if the opportunity presented itself. .

Anything over 90 degrees with humidity requires a mat towel to catch sweat and hand towel to dry for certain poses like arm balances Crow for example

I have done the new Jogo. And I did have the temperature up. I was only guys, but you keep a towel close. For breaks to wipe the sweat. And you leave a towel on your map

You definitely havent ever done Bikram Yoga there is no pairing up.

In the late 90's I sat in on a nude yoga class at the Elysium resort in Topanga Canyon. If it was billed as "Hot Yoga" or Bikram Yoga I never noticed, and couldn't understand why it was so hot, and why I was sweating buckets, lol! The first and only time I've done "Hot Yoga" nude.

I love Bikram. The 1st time i tried, I had to take a break from the class for a while. I did not get great sleep the night before and thought i was going to pass out. After a while, the instructor came out and said I could go back in as they were getting ready for cool down. The next time I was prepared and made it through the whole class. When i showered after the class, I have never felt so refreshed even after a workout at the gym. I absolutely swear by it now. Practicing nude would be wonderful but haven't found such a class other than pure yoga classes. I wonder why that is

To the faker who had a problem with my response to her reply. You are free to express yourself anyway that you want on this site. I am free to respond and express my opinion as well. Since I have done all the styles of yoga describe and know all about the founder of Bikram yoga sexual allegations I will say again unless a class is specifically designated as a couples class hot yoga does not include pairing up.

No amount of googling yoga styles will change that. Yoga and even more so hot yoga is about connecting to your own body on your own mat. The beyond the temperature The distinction of Bikram yoga is the 26 same poses and two breath patterns that are done twice in a highly scripted practice lead by an instructor often standing in front of the class sometimes on a platform.

I know this because as a long time yogi of several decades I have taken many years of Bikram and of hot yoga classes. So feel free to express yourself as I will express my opinion as welll.
