What Happened to the Forums?
I have been away from TrueNudists for awhile. I've come back to see the forums have become a complete yawn fest. There used to be such fire and passion expressed in here, at times, way over the top, but there was actual dialogue. Do current events no longer interest nudists. This is an election year in the US, certainly there must be opinion over the direction the country is heading. So much is happening around the world, and yet the in the forums, we are still discussing the same old dilemmas in life..shave or not shave, boners are good...boners are bad. Word games. Why are nudists so old? Can we not have a discussion here, without someone being a winner or a loser? A healthy exchange of ideas and opinion. It doesn't have to be political or religious, but it seems those 2 subjects, bring out the fire in people. Let's discuss!
Glenn Fry just passed away yesterday. Were you an Eagles fan or not? The Eagles were a band that people loved to hate. A whiny group of long hairs, that left there mark in the music biz. If you were young, it was cool to hate the Eagles, but it seems like everyone knew their songs.... And lyrics. Their music will be remembered forever. Hotel California?....was it really about hell?Yesterday was Martin Luther King Day. The 30th anniversary of the Federal Holiday. Are we living his dream today? Or have current events clouded his dream of equality for all?

OK Ravins, I agree that things here have been a big yawn, but at least the bomb throwers have been silent. I'm all for a heated debate but some people have no idea of what debate is all about. Often the weakness of their position dictates that they resort to juvenile name calling. Can that be stopped?I doubt it butnone the less, I will take up your gauntlet and offer an item for debate.
You mentioned that yesterday was MLK Day. MLK sought equality of opportunity and treatment. We have also just seen that several black celebrities have said that they would boycott the Oscar ceremonies because of the dearth of black nominees. Is this proper or should there be a special category for black performers?

Yes the word games are not nudist information exchanges but they are better than discussions on erections, shaving, etc. I do not participate in the word games to get my 'name in lights', I participate because they make me think but I also participate in other discussions that are interesting to me. I know you aren't targeting anyone specific but I do not appreciate your comments and am not an old boring guy. I participate in a number of discussions on various topics, political, nudist venues, etc.
Personally, I think comments like yours drive people away.

Ever since they upgraded this site it has been bad. Their is constant complaints of problem areas, the difficult or impossible ways to post pics. Boring and repetitious topics. More odd characters on for the wrong reasons. And the people in charge ignore it all butcare willing to take your membership money. Well. After much thought, i decided not to renew my membership this go around. Im sure no one cares sincecIm one individual but if others would think about the impact it might have.... We might have change to the better.
