Having Confidence to be seen Naked and Willing to Ask questions to Others .
Have you ever been able to walk a beach that is not officially nude , yet be willing to Ask people you walk up to for their opinion to seeing you walk around naked ? I did that a few times , and got some interesting responses . Most didn't have a problem seeingme walk up to them . Most are shocked that you are willing to ask them a question , and then listen to their answer , and that you are even willing to approach them while naked . Asked 2 women what they thought about seeing me walking the beach naked , and they asked if I was a nudist . Didn't know at that time that there was a term to describe a person like myself who was opento not only be seen naked , but had the confidence to openly walk down a beach where swimsuits are supposed to be worn .

I've answered this in a topic that was titled differently.
Yes ... I have gone up to people, clothed or with bathing suits on, at our tolerated nude/clothing optional beach. It's Black's Beach north of downtown San Diego, CA. Many of those that are in bathing suits or shorts/blouse/t shirts ... are usually from the University at the top of the hill. They come down because 1) it's the closest beach to the University 2) because of curiosity and 3) because they are either nudists or enjoy the beach nude or topless.
Those that are usually dressed completely are the ones I seek out to ask ... "why do you come to a known nude beach, throughout the United States and even in other countries and wear clothes or a swim suit?" I've gotten lots of different answers and some of them have actually understood and either stripped or gone to the section of the beach where many more clothed people are sitting. I never really try and run them off, unless they are bothering other nudists (usually the nude single women), or are being obnoxious and irritating. Some have tried to take pictures and I've gone over to talk with them and they leave.
I've even stopped some "cruisers" from the cruise ships that stop in St. Martin and many of them "get a taxi to the Nude Beach to see the Naked People!" I've politely stopped some and asked ... "what really brings you down to this end of the beach? Do/did you know there were naked people here? If so, why are you so embarrassed or shy about conversing with us or joining us? We are no different than you except that we happen to enjoy the ocean and beach without a suit." Our small group has actually had a few couples take their clothes off, put them on our lounge chairs and join us for a drink at the beach bar! Years ago, I actually had one guy join a site and tell a story about some nice naked people talking to them on the beach and asking them to join them, get naked and have a drink at the beach bar. Hey ... that was US! :D
By the time you're naked on the beach, the trek down is a blur. After the trek back up and we get cleaned up, the nude drive home makes that trek a blur as well! ;-)
Andy, it is sounding like nudity is causing you vision problems. I hope this is not the case for you. Driving with blurred vision can be a hazard for you and everyone around you. Maybe all that time in the sun is causing you to develop cataracs or some other condition affecting your sight. Get it checked out.
In southern Europe there are many unofficial nude beaches and only a few official ones. It all depends on what is accepted. My friend and I have often been the only nudists on a beach without any problems. We're happy to be seen by passing tourists. It is an occupational hazard on Maspalomas beach with its constant flow of clothed people walking along the water's edge. It's also fun standing naked on a beach waving at a passing tour boat.
I haven't approached others on a beach, either to ask if they mind my own nudity nor to chide them for being clothed. I have been on naked hikes when a conversation was held with other hikers we met on the way. Usually they have no objection to our nudity.
We have a nude hike near Phoenix Az. I have a spot near mouth of the canyon. Its up a little high. But I see people coming over to the nude area. I let them know that its a naked area or tell others that a textile is coming there way. I am one of those shy people lol
