Still working on a collection of Winston Churchill's speeches. Beginning to re-read the Sherlock Holmes stories. I have a boxed set of all the works,so I'll be busy with that for a while. I'm partial to mystery/detective novels, but also enjoy thrillers, action/adventure, and histories.

Currently: The Crook Factory by Dan Simmons. A fictional tale of life in Cuba in 1942. The FBI sends an agent to Cuba to keep an eye on Ernest Hemingway. Lots of political intrigue and insights about what was going on globally.
Many famous people drift in and out of the tale.
Simmons is a good writer and the story flows along.
Especially enjoyable if you have read Hemingway's Islands in the Stream.
Christopher Moore is my current favourite. I met him recently on his book tour -- a funny guy and one of the strongest writers out there.Good topic!
Christopher Moore is hilarious. I love Lamb and The Stupidest Angel. Both were read in my book club. =)
Picked up a Christopher Moore today at our local library-Bloodsucking Fiends.
I get excited when I find a new author who is prolific.
I also got a Jane Smiley novel. I don't read many women novelists, but I like Smiley.
