You are invite to another CosmeX event at Laverton.

It will be held next Sunday, 28th Feb 2016. We aim to hold regular events on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. (For the month of March, the only event we will be holding will be on the 20th March 2016), see www.cosmexmelbourne.com for dates.

The venue is Laverton swim and fitness centre located at the end of Jennings St. Laverton. The event will start from 4:30pm finishing at 7:30pm. see also www.cosmexmelbourne.com for more details.

Laverton is approximately 15min from the CBD, via the Westgate Bridge and Princes Fwy, exit at Kororoit Creek Rd, and turn left into Bladin St and then left into Jennings St. There is ample parking around the facility. The closest train station is Laverton, which is approx 1km from the centre

We will starting a new series of massage workshops, teaching Heartworks Lomi Lomi from the 28th Feb

Lomi Lomi massage technique is one of the oldest and most profound forms of massage. The word Lomi Lomi simply means 'massage therapist' or simply 'Hawaiian massage'. It is a unique healing massage derived from the ancient Polynesians and more specifically the master healers of Hawaii.

Heartworks Lomi Lomi has been developed to assist the masseur, and to prevent injury to the masseur. It is a very relaxing massage, with lymphatic draining techniques. The masseur shifts their weight from side to side, using their leg muscles and biceps to give a flowing massage. This shifting of weight is often referred to as the dance. It is different to the Temple style Lomi Lomi.

Massage lessons will be fun, interactive and arousal may occur and is natural, after all it's a relaxation massage. However this is not an erotic massage or meant to be sexual in any way, Massaging of genitals is not appropriate.

Free notes on the sequence, as well as an instructional DVD on Heartworks Lomi Lomi will be available at the workshops for $5.00 at each workshop.

The workshop will start at 5pm and go for 45min. The full body sequence will be covered in 5 or more workshops. Each workshop will cover one section of the body and there will be a chance to practice what you've learnt after the 6pm tea break.


Entry is $15.00 per person and includes the massage workshop. If everyone attending could bring something for a shared supper, it would be greatly appreciated. Please do not bring anything in glass or breakable containers, due to safety reasons. Fresh fruit, or UHT milk is always appreciated.

The facility includes a 6 lane indoor heated swimming pool, spa, dry sauna, an area for massage tables and refreshment tables, and separate male / female showers.

There are massage tables available for use, as well as an area for workshops, and an area for socialization. For massage, we will provide an "easy wash" oil or you can bring your own. The massage area is a tranquil area, for relaxation, please keep conversations to a minimum within this area.

You MUST bring your own towel/s to cover the massage table and to dry yourself if you have a shower, you should also bring your own soap.

There is minimal, secure storage for personal belongings, please do not bring unnecessary valuables into the venue.

CosmeX is a friendly, social, fun, alternative lifestyle event for women and men.

This is a clothing optional event - if nudity offends please do not attend.

Children under 18 will be required to wear clothing and can not be involved in massage. The rules of public society also apply at CosmeX.
