The case for driving naked in cold weather

I drive naked whenever it's practical, which is very often during
warm weather but even on long trips when it's cold. Last week
I made a round trip of about 700 miles. I was able to do
about 620 miles completely nude. About 1/3 was on two lane
rural highways, the rest on four lane Interstate highways and
urban freeways. Temperatures during these daytime trips
ranged 30s to low 50s F.
I'm preaching to the choir here, because everyone in this group at
least suspects that it'sthe most comfortable way to drive.
I find winter driving can be especially uncomfortable because
of so many layers of clothes. Sometimes you'll get big
temperature changes in the cabin due to heating from solar gain,
then you open awindow to cool down, then your face gets too
cold but your torso's still too hot, etc. Then clouds cover
and temp drops and you turn up the heat, starting the rollercoaster
of temp changes again. When I'm naked, my whole body can stay
at a comfortable temperature with simple adjustments of the
thermostat. One consideration is what to wear. A coat can be placed on the back seat, many people do that anyway on long trips. Slip-on shoes, commando in sweat pants and a sweat shirt, easy to slip on and off once you are in the car, and easy to slip back into when you need to exit the car.
I have observed that, as a rule, people do not pay attention to
what's going on in the car that they're passing (or that's passing
them). On the trip home I noticed one female passenger looked
back at my car as hers was passing mine. She apparently
noticed that I was shirtless and showed a slight look of surprise.
That was it. Big rig drivers are busy controlling their
vehicles, and I no longer think that they look down directly into
small cars. If they do, they have given me no indication that
they care, and I have passed many, many big rigs. I always
cover my middle for buses, and of course would cover if I went by a
school that was letting out.
Nope, never been honked at.
Great for staying alert, I end my trip more relaxed. You
might consider giving it a try!

RE: The case for driving naked in cold weather

Have been driving nude for some 40 years.Driving nude also in winter. Went for nude drive few weeks ago. Cold that day. Some snow on ground. Passed two women walking down the road. One spun and looked at me as I drove by. As you said probably noticed I had no shirt on. When I turned around and was driving back. Same two women saw me coming. Just stood on the side of road and waved. Have never had a problem with traffic such as meeting other vehicles. Most drivers seem to have a bit of tunnel vision. Or to busy to notice you. Always have a pair of shorts, shirt and slip on shoes just in case.Do most of my driving in rural areas.
