Nudist, naturist

What does nudism have to do with gender or marital status? I'm here to make friends with people who enjoy the same lifestyle. I've found lots of people here that won't even talk to me let alone accept a friend request because I'm a man and my significant other is not a naturist. I don't believe that people like that are naturists, I think they are here for something else.

Maybe I'm clueless and maybe you can explain what I'm missing. But what exactly is the point of the "Friends" thing here? I mean, real friends are great. But I don't see the purpose of just collecting a long list of profiles unless I have something in common with them and/or they're actually friends (real friends). I mean, you don't have to be on someone's "Friends" list to read their profile or paricipate in a friendly message exchange with them. And what's the point of seeing their photo if you'll never need to recognize them at a meet up? Maybe I'm a bit skeptical but I think I'd feel naive if I thought seeing a photo guarantees that person is real. But, like I say, maybe I'm missing something.
Anyhow, just thought I'd ask.

Good question. Also why is it that some think we need to know their sexual orientation? What does that have to do with naturalism?I'm a single male only because my wife passed away. That doesn't mean I'm looking for random sex.I don't accept a lot of fried requests ( kind of pointless if you will never get to meat in person ). Would like folks in my area (couples or singles ) who enjoy social nudity.

An appropriate question. Nudism or naturism or a combination thereof has nothing to do with gender or marital status or sexual orientation for that matter. This is my opinion and it may or may not differ from that of others. Perhaps we might ignore any obvious differences and focus on the similarities alone. In this case it would be the state of being naked, privately or socially. That being the case, we could then learn of the variations of being naked and accept or reject a personas a naked friend or companion based on that persons actions be they positive or negative. Yes, positive and negative are subjective words and as such open to interpretation, yet another aspect of determining who may be a "true nudist/naturist". In short, there is no cut an dried or black and white approach to this topic unless all nudists take a "show me" attitude that another nudist/naturisthas only interests in being privately or socially naked. Perhaps if all members of this site filled out their profile others would be better able to determine if a friendship of whatever form might be reasonable. Even private profile might list "something" that would indicate to others that the person is sincere and has similar interests beyond nudity. My personal approach is to accept, observe, and determine interaction going forward. I'm a member of a small club and there are members that I prefer to avoid. In a large club that occurrence might be more frequent. It is a learning experience my friends, and one that differs from person to person but for all evolves. Is it possible that even a troll might evolve?

I don't believe that people like that are naturists, I think they are here for something else.Friendships on here are developed in the same fashion as they are in mixed status gatherings be it nude or textile.
Men be they single or married will often migrate together and discuss whatever. The same goes for women in the same situations.
However there will also be the couples who will remain together and they are more likely to seek out other couples.
You will also get some males who will drift towards females as they are more comfortable speaking with women than they are speaking with men.Just like the women who prefer to hang in with the guys and talk about macho things.
Myself, I tend to stick with the wife and do the couple thing, or drift from group to group depending on my comfortability.
As for friends on here, I find it a total waste of time. I rarely hear from any friends on here on mail or messages. However I do have few friends I used to meet up with in the main Chat room and private chat when I was using a PC to access TN. However private chat is almost impossible on the tablet I now use so I only see my friends occasionally when our times on TN coincide.
My guess is others on here make friends with others just so they can see more pictures of those who set their pics to friends only status.
