The part that makes me nervous and has really only allowed me to
drive nude a few times is an accident. We have had some
serious accidents in the past (clothed) that were completely not
our fault including a being hit from behind while stopped by
someone going around 40, a head-on by someone cut off on the other
side of the road (each of us going 40-45 and sending people to
ICU), etc. Last thing I want to do is get out of a car after
a serious accident dazed and not realize I'm nude and then having
other drivers or police having an issue with it and/or thinking I
was even partially to blame because of it.
I have driven home nude from our local resort a few times and it
was nice, but that nervousness was very much there. I would
really like it if there weren't the societal hang-ups about nudity
and I didn't have to worry about it.

It is a shame that this nervousness is spoiling your naked driving time.
I must admit that an accident is really my only concern. To be fair, if it's a big accident then being naked would be the least of my worries. A small accident would be a bigger issue. As you say, having to get out of the car to sort it would be a problem.
Your nakedness being the reason for the accident is also a valid one. We all know that it would have nothing to do with it whatsoever, but we all know what the law is like, and anything that claims or insurance companies can use to deflect or defer payments would be used to the full.
driving by semi's or big rv's that could see in my window. Other cars or vans, if I can't see they are naked, then they can't see me. I am driving form Florida to North Carolina at the ends of the month alone and plan on driving it bottomless at the least. I will be driving a small truck without tinted windows so that might prove to be a challenge. I always drive with some gym shorts next to me so i can pull them on quickly or just place them over my lap if need be.
Been stuck in slow moving/traffic jam and with just the shorts across my bottom put there when I could see the problem coming. The worst problem will be if stopped and people starting to get out of there cars.

Unfortunately, my commute home often involves queueing in traffic, especially on a Friday and at some road works on my route home.
I drive bottomless but with my shirt over my lower area it's almost impossible to tell that I'm not just wearing shorts. Even for people waling past my stationary car.
I'm certain that nobody has ever seen me in the two years I've been driving like this.
I do take care to not stop directly alongside anyone in the left lane though, just in case
