Any Cheap Nude Cruises?
Return to DiscussionsBare Necessities is the only nude cruise outfit, so it's all up to how their cruise is selling. There are other couples (a.k.a. swingers) cruises that allow nudity up on the sun deck, but only on the sun deck. We heard on one of our shore excursions that one of those companies is thinking of expanding the nude areas, so they might eventually become an option.
This year the BN cruise was sold out, so there weren't any bargains. Next year is already 80% sold out, so probably no there as well. Last year was the year to get good deals. They didn't sell out and ended up giving really good deals to all of the nudist clubs to get the boat filled up.
We looked at Mexico for next year, but you are right. Places like Hidden Beach Resort are expensive, but they are all-inclusive. We aren't big drinkers so that doesn't really help us. For now we are looking at St. Martin even without Club Orient. Nothing will replace being able to get up, go shopping for a baguette for breakfast, walking out to the beach for the day with a beach bar serving drinks and lunch, then going for dinner and dancing at a beachside restaurant all without ever putting anything on. But there are condos for rent in The Villages that are close enough to the beach to minimize the need to wear any clothes and we don't mind the walk from that end of the beach to the nude end in front of what's left of Club Orient. We will miss the nude nightlife at Papagayo's.
We looked at Hidden Beach as well and compared to Nude Cruises it's a real pricey thing for travel and resort stay in prime time. That would be when the polar north is no longer fun. Nude Cruises seem to be the biggest bang for the buck. We haven't been able to do one since I contracted C-diff in the Dominican Republic 3 yrs ago on an excursion from ice in a rum drink. If it's an extended cruise makes it impossible for us as well. Just biding the time until we can do it again!

Was that excursion at Amber Cove on the 2017 BN cruise? This year was the best one since then for us (again leaving from Tampa on a Spirit-class ship). Hopefully 2022 will be 9 nights or less again. In the mean time, we just booked a one week textile cruise for September out of Port Canaveral and will spend Labor Day weekend at Cypress Cove before the cruise. Then we might go to St. Martin for one of the two weeks that we will miss on next year's cruise. No Club O, but there are a couple of C/O hotels we are interested in at the Villages near the middle of Orient Beach. I think we can get by without renting a car if we stay in the Villages.

We talked to someone while waiting to get food on one of the nude excursions in Cozumel and they mentioned that Bliss was going to make their nudity policy more relaxed starting on the 2021 cruise on the Oasis of the Seas, but when I looked at their website it still said only on the open decks by the pools. I'm too used to being able to spend all of our at sea time nude, so I wouldn't want to spend even more than Bare Necessities charges and then not be able to walk around the ship nude. I would have loved to be able to walk around the Oasis nude. Mrs. J&C wasn't sure even with expanded nudity. She is scared to be around the swingers, even though I'm sure there are some that are on the BN cruises, too. We never get approached by any, so we mustn't give off the swinger vibe.
