A nudist beach - the best place to be
Return to DiscussionsI'm sure most nudists would agree that the best place to get naked is a nudist beach feeling the sun on your naked body, feel the sand under your feet and the pleasure of a naked swim in the warm ocean. I'm lucky that here in Northern Ireland there are hundreds of very beautiful beaches; all within half an hours drive from where I live. However, there are a few drawbacks. The first is the weather. There are usually only a few days in summer when it's warm enough to hit the beach and you'd have to have the constitution of an ox to brace the freezing Atlantic! The second drawback is that there are no nudist beaches here. In fact, any sort of public nudity is totally illegal and could lead to prosecution and your name put on the sex offenders list! Thankfully I get away to Greece a few times a year and hit the beautiful nude beaches.
I'm very jealous of anyone who lives near a nude beach - enjoy - I hope that, one day, there will be one where I live - I might even swim naked in the freezing Atlantic!
I totally agree with you that the best place to get naked is a nudist beach. Unfortunately, the weather is the major drawback we have here in The Netherlands. However when we do get lucky, we could have up 2 months of nice beach weather per year. Luckily, there are a couple of nudist beaches around, and one of the most popular nudist beaches is located just a stone throw from my home. It is such a great feeling to walk down to the beach. I wish I could offer you that in N. Ireland.
I didn't realise that public nudity was treated as described in Northern Ireland, though I knew that Scotland treated it differently to England. In England it is not illegal to be nude in public, but if nudity causes offence you may be fined or arrested. The laws are unclear and cause a lot of confusion despite British Naturism trying hard to clarify this - https://www.bn.org.uk/legalguidance/

I love being nude at the beach for similar reasons to those already mentioned in this thread, it is wonderful to appreciate being there as a nudist, preferably with like-minded friends. I love being nude anywhere I can be so I might disagree with the beach being the best place to enjoy being nudists at, I love hiking nude, surrounded by nature it feels so right to be naturally naked as well.
We have been lucky to enjoy a few visits so far this year to local nude beaches. Today is wet and grey though. Last summer took a while to get started properly, it was sometime quite late in June, but once it arrived we had a good long spell of nudist weather until mid-October.
