I'm very confident about being naked at the moment, and have had other men even say I have a nice looking penis, which even as a straight dude I have to admit is very nice to hear. Have any other nudists been circumcised as an adult? Unfortunately I have no choice (phimosis) or I wouldn't have it done. How did it go for you? I kinda associate my penis head showing with sexuality at the moment, but as an active naturist, will have to get used to it being the new norm when around others naked
I'm totally against routine infant circumcision because it is almost never a necessary surgery. Our foreskin has a purpose, to protect our glans. However, for those who CHOOSE to get circumcised for medical reasons, or for aesthetics, the result should be a penis YOU are proud of. Way too many surgeons simply remove foreskin in a way (technique) they are used to performing, often without concern with how it looks. A circumcision can be low (scar is closer to your glans), high (scar higher on your shaft), loose (leaving some inner foreskin) or tight (virtually no foreskin left). Find a surgeon/urologist who will circumcise you in the style YOU want, not what he wants.
Hi there. First of all, good luck to you. Phimosis is very common when you are younger but it should fixed itself as you grow older but in your case, it didn't fix itself. I got circumcised when I was 10 years old. Growing up in a Catholic society where circumcision is a must. aside from that, was also pressured by my friends at that age because most of them are already circumcised and I am not so I gave up with all their bullying and decided to get circumcised at the age of 10. I wished I knew better then because if I know better, I will never do it. But in your case, you have the medical reason to do it. I remember back then before I got circumcised, I cannot retract the skin either fully to show the head of my penis. So a day before the circumcision, the person who is doing the circumcision asked me to see him to see if I am ready to get circumcised or not because you have to be able to retract the skin fully to see the head in order to get circumcise. I went to see him and when he saw that my foreskin doesn't retract fully, he just pulled the skin in one tugged and my foreskin retracted fully and I can see the full head. It didn't hurt at all. I just caught in surprised because he did that while checking on my penis and didn't say what he is going to do. It feels like the smegma is keeping the skin intact and keeping the skin to fully retract that acts like a glue. So, the day after that, I did the circumcision.
What I will recommend is asked the doctor if he can just cut enough foreskin so that you can retract the skin without causing you any pain rather than cutting so much just behind the crown line of the head. If you can keep your foreskin as much as you can, do it rather than losing all of it. Like someone said on the post, the foreskin acts to cover the glands and keep it moist. I believe that. Also, you will be able to keep most of the sensitivity of the head of the penis. You just have to keep a thorough cleaning routine everyday and washed your penis at least 2 to 3 times a day to keep it clean and sanitary. This is my opinion and I know that there are people who will oppose to this but everyone has opinions.
