Missing Sun

I'd love to trade homes. Like in July or August.
Careful what you wish for, July - August is cold here, you're tempting me to take you up on that. Our summer here after the bush-fires in early January was poor so not much sun, cloudy, humid, warm but not sunny. It's cooling off now and I'm missing it already.

At some point I made a life decision: I will only live in places where I approve of the climate. I know this is the reverse of some people, who will relocate for the sake of their career; but that is a question of priorities. I choose the reverse: I am willing to recareer for the sake of my location.
It's mid winter here, cold, rainy, windy etc. the skies seem to be forever grey at the moment. This time of year always makes me wonder why I live in this climate. Like the previous post said, many people shift for their careers, he was interested in shifting for the weather, I'm starting to think along those lines. A warmer climate, would certainly be nice and not so bleak in winter. With CV around and travel to warmer states not possible at the moment, I can't even escape to our sunny northen states for some respite. I'm nude in my home with the heaters on, what do others do during winter?
Our winter dragged on longer than it should have but now we are getting some sun, not a lot but some. Maybe it's a gradual way to get us used to summer and more sun. It is tough when winter carries on longer or summer is poor and disappears all too quickly.
