Secret sunbathing spots
Return to DiscussionsI'm so happy it's warm enough to go hiking and sunbathing again. I'm sure you all agree with me. I don't have a yard where I can lay out privately, but I live on the side of a valley, within walking distance of some mountain foothills. There are a lot of hiking trails and game trails that zig-zag all over the lower mountainside, so I've spent some time walking around and finding strategic sunbathing spots where I can strip naked and catch some rays. I haven't been caught yet in 5 years, so I guess my spots are pretty safe. Does anyone else have any favorite hidden spots to sunbathe out in public areas?
That sounds pretty wonderful. I've seen you post on a lot of threads and I'm sure you're both more adventurous than me, and live/travel in social environments that are more accepting of a little constructive nudity than my home in Utah, US. I did almost get caught once by a young man, maybe 16-18 years old who was out walking the trails with his dog, but we crossed paths before I'd gotten to my sunning spot and lost my clothes. I decided to find a new spot since they'd gotten within spitting distance of where i'd spent the spring under the sun, and haven't had any close encounters since. I imagine being so close to the road you must have had a couple close encounters yourself.
I have. I like to hike and camp and sometimes solo. I have several places on or off the trails I frequent where I have been able to enjoy some naked sun time. I too have been doing so for years and not been caught. One of my favorite spots is on a large rock in the middle of a rocky river in a secluded area. The heat from the rocks and the sun is nice and when it gets too hot just jump in and cool off.

that is a great spot for sunning and cooling off in the river
At my previous home in Florida and also at the summer farm, I have created private spots for sunbathing. In Florida I used areca palms to create a hidden area with shade from a nearby large banyan tree. I also framed several pieces of stained glass so at certain times of day I enjoyed the beauty of light streaming through the colored glass.
I love the description of gabares hidden river spot.
